Post-match update checklist
Use this list after the final whistle of Argentina vs Benin. Do not fill it in early. A blank is better than a guessed score. This page is for the publisher and is marked noindex.
- js/config.js: set score.status to "ft", home and away to the real goals, and write scorers in detail. Add a liveUpdates line with the final score.
- Home: the feed reads the config. Check the hero no longer implies the match is upcoming.
- Live score: same numbers as the config. Remove any “not started” wording that the script did not replace.
- Highlights and result: score in the first 60 words, scorers with minutes, stats if a source exists, a short reaction, legal highlight links only.
- Lineups: move the official XI into the confirmed tab, including Benin. Note substitutions.
- Messi page: did he play, from which minute, did he score or assist. If he did not play, say that plainly.
- Head to head: add this one meeting. Do not invent older games.
- Prediction: add what held and what did not. Do not delete the original lean.
- Facts: after 7 October 2026, check FIFA’s new official ranking before changing the July numbers.
- Team news pages: injuries that actually happened, not rumours from the stands.
- Tickets: mark the match as played so nobody hunts a sold-out night.
- Preview and kick-off: a one-line banner that the match has been played, with a link to the result. Keep the historical note that the clock was late to be confirmed.
- FAQ: change “who won” and “what is the score” answers.
- sitemap.xml lastmod dates on the pages you touched.
- Search Console: request indexing on the result URL if it is the one you want fresh.
Do not add a pirate highlight embed while you are rushing. Do not change the odds page into a “winning bet” recap.
